Report March 24, 2024

On the mountain yesterday to check conditions and the shed. It was 43 degrees, and the snow was wet and slushy on top. The snow pole now shows just under 3 feet, so we have lost about a foot of snow in the last week. Today there is a 2 to 3 inches of new snow but the temp is just above freezing. The forcast shows more new snow and rain mix coming in the next few days and mid to High 30s for temps. Looks like spring is coming faster than we would like. As I was parking a gray Toyota pickup came out on the highway from the 2 story cabin across from the lake and drove down to 64rd and out our trail towards Jubilee. I didn't get a plate number, but he sure made some ruts. It's not legal to be on the trails till April 1.

January 2024 Report - Please Help

REWARD UPDATE. Club members Josh Maul & Kristi DeMoisy have donated $200 towards the reward. REWARD NOW $450.00
We unfortunately were hit at Wanoga with vandalism over the Christmas Break. Graffiti, fire extinguishers were set off, and glass broken throught the shelter as well as an unknown amount of wood was taken. The shelter is maintained by volunteers and it’s a hard pill to swallow to have to clean up this mess. We like to offer the shelter to the community to use and enjoy but these actions have forced us to lock the shelter until there is a need. We are offering a $450 reward for information in regards to the individual/s responsible. You can remain anonymous. If you have any information, please message us through social media. If this was you and you are willing to come forward on your own, the club would be willing to work out some community service at the shelter to offset this vandalism. In the meantime, we are currently going through camera footage to hopefully identify those responsible.
