Today is the end of the 2022/2023 snowmobile trail grooming season. I want to thank each member of the Moon Country Grooming Team for their dedication and commitment to maintaining some of the busiest trails in the state.

This season the grooming team has logged over 850 volunteer hours and groomed over 4600 trail miles.

Grooming Report as of Thursday, December 22, 2022

Good morning from your Moon Country Grooming Team...First and foremost I want to say how tough these posts are for us...I am presently at the shed and its raining the wrong type of precipitation and the temps are high. With the weather event we are experiencing at the present time and with what the forecast is showing over the next few days my District Manager and I are in agreement that it's best to shut down grooming operations until at least Wednesday of next week and re assess conditions...The trail system is in really good shape with the snow we have received.  We made a really good sealing pass on the high traffic areas last night in anticipation of this weather event including Trail 5 and the Elk Lake run...Wanoga and the surrounding areas are decent as well...hopefully this rain event will improve the density of the snow we have and further improve the trail system extending its life into the Spring...please do not hesitate to reach out through the Holidays regarding any safety concerns in the trail system and they will be immediately assessed and addressed...Thank you for your understanding and Merry Christmas/Happy New Year from your Moon Country trail grooming team.
